Kimakia Forest Trail lies in the Gatang&#8217;a sub-county of Murang&#8217;a County. However, during the hike, the Kimakia trekking trail crosses over to Gatundu North in Kiambu County. <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/BDNrQH8R2Lw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Mataara Hike &amp; Gacako Waterfalls Chase<\/a> is another trail that straddles at Muranga -Kiambu counties border. Firstly, this is because of its proximity to Nairobi. It takes just 2 hours from Nairobi. We cross over and start climbing up towards the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/wildsprings.co.ke\/tours\/ragia-forest-waterfalls-chase\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ragia<\/a>&nbsp;River. After an hour of walking through nature, we will arrive at Kimakia Falls. It&#8217;s amazing to see so many waterfalls. The sight of them thrashing over the rocks with majesty is breathtaking.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Ignite your soul with the magic of forest bathing. The trek continues through the thick bamboo. That peaceful moment to connect with self is what we came for. Enjoy as you hike through the dense forest.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">The trail is short, but it is exciting and adventurous. A comfortable Hiking shoe with excellent grip and a Trekking pole is recommended on this trail. You will be crossing rivers such as Ragia and Chania rivers. Hence, with a hiking rod and great trekking boots, you cross the rivers more easily.&nbsp;<strong>Kimakia hiking trail is ideal for beginners, <\/strong>intermediate, or even seasoned hikers. Additionally, the trekking&nbsp;<strong>takes about four hours if you start at the water intake point.<\/strong>&nbsp;However, if you start the fishing camp, it takes approximately 5-7 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">After the trek, if you would like to extend your stay in this area.
