🐆 6-Day "Big Five" & Kilimanjaro Explorer: Mara, Nakuru & Amboseli

🗺️ The 6-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi to the Masai Mara Start with a morning pick-up from your Nairobi hotel. We descend into the Great Rift Valley, stopping for a panoramic view of the escarpment before heading to the Mara. Arrive in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive.

• Stay: Budget Tented Camp (Full Board).

Day 2: Masai Mara – The Ultimate Game Drive A full day dedicated to the Mara. We head out with a picnic lunch to spend 8+ hours tracking the Big Five.

• Highlight: Visit the Mara River to see hippos and crocodiles. During the migration season, this is the best spot to witness the river crossings.

Day 3: Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru Enjoy a sunrise game drive before breakfast, then depart for Lake Nakuru National Park. You’ll drive through scenic landscapes, arriving in Nakuru in the late afternoon for a sunset search for the rare White and Black Rhinos.

• Stay: Nakuru Budget Hotel (Full Board).

Day 4: Nakuru to the Foothills of Kilimanjaro (Amboseli) Begin with a final morning drive in Nakuru to see the flamingos and Rothschild giraffes. After lunch, we drive south toward Amboseli National Park, arriving in the evening just as the sun sets over the snow-capped peak of Mt. Kilimanjaro.

• Stay: Amboseli Lodge/Camp (Full Board).

Day 5: Amboseli – Land of the Giants Spend the full day exploring Amboseli’s unique swamps and plains.

• The Sight: Nowhere else in Africa offers better views of massive elephant herds framed by the tallest mountain on the continent. Visit Observation Hill for a 360-degree view of the entire park.

Day 6: Amboseli to Nairobi One last early morning game drive provides your best chance to see Kilimanjaro before the clouds set in. After breakfast, we head back toward Nairobi, stopping for lunch en route. You will arrive back in the city around 4:00 PM for your hotel or airport drop-off.
