Trek Itinerary - 12th -13th December 2025
Day 1 – 12th December 2025: Old Moses Camp - Shipton Hut - Point Lenana (4,985 m)
Transfer to Old Moses Camp
You will drive from Sirimon Gate to Old Moses Camp (3,300 m) after clearing park formalities. This transfer shortens the lower section and preserves time for the main ascent to Shipton Hut.

Your summit push begins in the late afternoon. The ascent follows a defined ridge with a steady gradient. The trail is non-technical but requires consistent pacing due to altitude.
If the weather is clear, the summit provides excellent sunset light across Batian, Nelion, and the expansive alpine valleys of Mt. Kenya.
Return to Shipton Hut for dinner and overnight rest.

Day 2 – 13th December 2025: Shipton Camp - Old Moses - Nairobi

Enjoy a warm breakfast before beginning the descent.
Descent to Old Moses Camp
After breakfast at Shipton Hut, you will descend to Old Moses Camp, where transport will be waiting for the return journey to Nairobi.
Follow the same trail back to Old Moses Camp.
This descent typically takes 5–6 hours, depending on pace and conditions.
Return to Nairobi
The vehicle will be waiting at Old Moses Camp for the transfer back to Nairobi.
Expect to arrive in the city by late evening, depending on weather and traffic conditions.
