• Day 1: The Journey to the Northern Frontier

  Your adventure begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi in our custom 4x4 Land Cruiser. We will journey north, crossing the equator and stopping for lunch en route. Arrive at Samburu Sopa Lodge, where you'll be greeted with a warm welcome and time to settle in. After a brief rest, embark on your first game drive, traversing the stunning semi-arid landscapes in search of the elusive "Samburu Special Five." As the sun sets, we'll return to the lodge for a delightful dinner at the main restaurant, preparing for the wonders that await you.

  
  

  Day 2: Wildlife Encounters & A Celestial Adventure

  Awake to the sounds of the African bush and enjoy an early morning game drive. The soft light of dawn is perfect for spotting predators on the hunt and the reserve's unique wildlife, including the graceful Gerenuk and the majestic Grevy's zebra. Return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast and some leisure time to relax by the pool or simply take in the breathtaking views. After lunch, the afternoon is reserved for another thrilling game drive along the Ewaso Ng’iro River, the lifeblood of the reserve, where you may spot elephants, lions, and leopards.

  
  

  As night falls, prepare for the highlight of your safari. Your evening begins with a magical dinner under the Samburu stars. Afterwards, gather around a crackling bonfire for an intimate storytelling session that shares the ancient wisdom of the Samburu people. Next, you will view the night sky through powerful telescopes with the guidance of a professional astronomer, identifying constellations, planets, and galaxies.
