Why double-layer matters: the breathable inner tent manages condensation while the waterproof outer rainfly takes the weather. It is not a Hilleberg Soulo or Mountain Hardwear Trango, and we wouldn't take it above 4,500 m in sustained snow. For most Kenyan and East African camping — including cold-season summits below the snow line — it is the right tool for the job.
