You fly in tandem with a certified pilot from the Kijabe Hills escarpment — one of Kenya's finest natural paragliding launch sites, 1.5 hours from Nairobi on the Rift Valley rim. The thermal conditions here, driven by the warm air rising from the valley floor 600 metres below, create smooth, stable flying conditions ideal for first-time paragliding passengers.
The Rift Valley opens below you as you launch. Lake Naivasha to the north. The Aberdare Range to the east. The volcanic profile of Mount Longonot to the northwest. 7 to 10 minutes of the finest aerial view in Central Kenya, in silence except for the wind.
