The Jaribu Tandem Paragliding Experience (Jaribu — Swahili for try) is the flight designed for people who want more than a passenger experience. You fly with your certified pilot for 10 to 15 minutes above the Great Rift Valley at Kijabe Hills — and at a chosen moment during the flight, under your pilot's close supervision, you briefly take the brake toggles and feel what it is to control a paraglider yourself.
This is not independent flying. The pilot remains in full command of the glider at all times and resumes control immediately on instruction. But the experience of holding the toggles for 30 to 60 seconds — feeling the glider respond to your input, the harness shifting slightly as the wing reacts — is something that cannot be replicated as a pure passenger. It is the reason experienced adventure travelers choose Jaribu when the Anga Safari feels like it might not be enough, but they are not ready for the full spirals and manoeuvres of the Pepo Racer.
